I don't know about you but, after a bit of sun and longer days, I feel a different kind of positive. Is it just me? Or is there something in the air?
I normally feel a new beginning in September at the start of the new school year and again in January as we head into a new year. In June though, we're usually spending time in the garden or going on holiday - and students have to sit exams in sweltering sports halls all around the country.
I've been away for a week and have come back to find raspberries for the first time in our very messy garden. We also have the first Victoria plums at the green stage and blueberries that haven't been painted yet 😂. My Grandson said that last year when I showed him our first blueberries which hadn't yet ripened. I suppose the fruit he ate was always ripe and black in colour. It reminds me of my niece, many years ago, who saw smoke, or was it steam maybe, coming out of a factory's chimney. She always called it the cloud factory. We still call it that today!
It seems a shame that we lose that innocence and imagination as adults. We can visualise how we'd like our future to be though. I think maybe that's why I'm feeling there's something about to happen. I've been visualising my garden all tidy and today we had our shed fitted. It looks huge inside but I know it'll be full before long. We've just got to find the energy to put the garden items away tidily and we'll be well on our way to getting back our beautiful garden. It'll be great not having a lawnmower in my office too - although I could start a trend 😁
I'd love to hear how your summer is going. Have you managed to meet up with family and friends again? What are your plans for the next few months? Let's hear it and see how many different ideas for enjoying an easing of lockdown we can come up with.
Until next time! 😘
